Traversing the Crossroads

Traversing the Crossroads is a short documentary created by John Beatty that attempts to paint a portrait of the Crossroads district of Kansas City. The film showcases the historical importance of the area by utilizing archival photos while walking viewers through the district as it exists today.

John Beatty is a Kansas City-based student filmmaker currently in his final semester at UMKC. His work primarily includes nonfiction filmmaking with a particular interest in documentary and experimental work. He will be attending graduate school in Fall 2013 in order to receive a graduate degree in filmmaking.
